Delivering HVAC solutions with maximum efficiencies of time, skill, materials, and budget

Working behind the scenes, HVAC systems ensure optimal working environments for both people and machines. When these systems are compromised, they move to the forefront, jeopardizing production and revenue. As a singular resource for all facets of HVAC, Environment ensures a streamlined experience from quick initial response through ongoing service so everyone and everything can maintain productivity.

Environment’s in-house team of technicians has deep experience in all areas of HVAC mechanical services including:

• Service and Maintenance

• Piping

• Sheet metal

• Temperature controls

About Environment

Environment’s multi-disciplinary teams of experienced engineers, field superintendents and technicians are savvy diagnosticians, able to develop targeted strategies and implement sustainable and cost-effective solutions. From tenant build-outs to maintenance services, each engagement has a dedicated project manager who understands all facets of the job from the big picture to the small nuances. As the singular point of contact, the project manager ensures a job is well done and delivered with streamlined efficiencies.

Founded by Daniel Krueger in 1993 as a stand-alone service company, Environment has grown steadily and today includes engineering, ventilation, piping, temperature controls, test and balance, and hundreds of service contracts. The company’s ventilation division expanded in 2014 with the addition of five sales/project managers. Also in 2014, Environment moved into its new, 16,000 square-foot facility at 2500 S. 27th Avenue, in Broadview, Illinois, 60155.

The Environment Experience

Design/Build: Beyond Schematics

Environment Mechanical uses the latest technologies and energy modeling programs to anticipate challenges before they become issues. Applying extensive field experience, engineers at Environment design for maximum energy efficiencies that go beyond schematics to deliver customized solutions that meet all requirements of building owners and developers.

Tenant Build-Out: What's in the Ceiling?

Environment's skilled technicians have deep experience in data and technology centers. Whether a tenant space is 1,000 square feet or over 200,000 square feet, Environment technicians investigate existing conditions and coordinate with other trades to ensure delivery of optimized solutions. Aggressive project schedules require innovative thinking and anticipation of challenges to stay on time and on budget. A dedicated Environment project manager tracks all phases of the engagement, and as a single point of contact, communicates regularly with general contractors, building owners, and IT and systems engineers.

Core and Shell: Integrated Project Management

Environment designs and delivers a solid infrastructure that serves as the backbone for systems added in subsequent project phases. Taking the lead, Environment collaborates with multiple trades to review BIM modeling, foresee challenges, and maximize time and budget for the installation of boilers, chillers, air handlers, rooftops, and cooling towers.

Maintenance: Anticipate the Long-term

Addressing ever-changing technologies in mechanical services is a constant. Environment helps protect your HVAC investment by running diagnostics of existing systems to find the best solution for specific issues. Whether developing big picture installations, modifying temperature controls, or providing supplemental cooling, Environment technicians solve for the long-term, concentrating on the right fix rather than the right-now fix.

The Environment Experience

With no gaps in talent, Environment’s experts work as a tightly knit group delivering intended results with streamlined precision.

Project Managers

A dedicated Environment project manager understands all facets of the job, arriving on-site whenever an issue demands immediate first-hand attention. Proactive and forward thinking, project managers view each job from a holistic standpoint, anticipating issues and assembling the best team with an eye toward successful outcomes.

Engineers

Environment engineers go beyond schematics to anticipate and design for actual conditions. Although a design might look good on paper, the team knows through deep experience that success means filtering great ideas through on-site realities.

Field Team

Superintendents

Coming up through the ranks, Environment’s superintendents have seen it all. In constant communication with project managers and technicians, they problem solve on-site to keep timelines and budgets on track and ensure quality control.

Technicians

Environment’s experienced technicians understand the HVAC idiosyncrasies of complex IT and data storage center environments. From older systems to state-of-the-art variable volume systems, these highly trained union members deliver optimized solutions.
